That's the first I've heard that the V10 has individual cylinder control like that. I know in mine it will cut the fuel supply at 75 MPH. My 2008 F53 seems to limit itself to around 5200 RPM. I was wondering, if it is normal or too high rpm for my car. Would anyone who has New Beetle (1998-2000) answer my question?-80mph with 4000 rpm. Is it okay????? Since 55 mph is around the normal highway driving speed, I would guess the engine should be turning at or near the 1800 to 2200 RPM range. The problem with the high rpm's is the gear ratio. The X line is running 4.70 plus differential gears. If you want to run your motor at a more reasonable speed @ 70 mph, you will need to replace the gears with something close to 4 to 1. The frictional force is given by the coefficient of friction times the normal force. The normal force is always less when the car is on a slope and so therefore the frictional force is less. If the car takes longer to come to a halt then the acceleration will be less. The acceleration will depend on the coefficient of friction. I was wanting to know if anyone knew of a good gear ratio/mph calculator online. I am looking for a calculator where you punch in your gear ratios, final drive, tire size, and engine rpm and it calculates how many mph you will be traveling. Any help would be greatly appriciated, thanks in advance.

The key is the engine’s peak torque figure. Once you have determined that rpm figure you should select a torque converter with a stall speed 300 to 400 rpm higher than that number. Upon the initial starting line launch with race cars running a trans-brake, the rpm drops about [300 to 400 rpm] so the stall speed should compensate for that change.

So basically you've got 60 seconds of continuous FULL THROTTLE operation below torque peak RPM; if the engine can't handle the load and RPMs don't increase to above peak torque RPM, downshift to raise engine speed. However, operation of the engine at less than FULL THROTTLE at speeds below torque peak RPM is ABSOLUTELY OK. Recommended router speeds generally decrease as bit diameter increases. It is important to understand that router speed is measured as shaft RPM but the outer edges of a bit, though turning at shaft RPM, attain much higher speeds because the distance traveled through each revolution increases dramatically as diameter grows larger. This is normal and these cars were made just before the time it was normal to go 70 on the interstate. Back then, the speed limit was just 55 (most did not go that slow though) With the 14b, this meant that at 55, you were within spooling range of the turbo but, was not unbearable and you were close to max tq on or off spool.
I have a 1998.5 audi A4 1.8T with a GIAC chip. Whenever i reach speeds of around 75 to 85 mph my RPM's are at 3-4000. i was wandering if this is normal for my engine, and if it is bad for the engine to be driving with the engine reving that high for periods of time.. Engine RPM Calculation Basics. Engine RPM, or the speed at which the engine turns, can be calculated at any speed given the vehicle's tire size, axle ratio, and final transmission gear ratio. This calculation is used to match oversize tires with new ring and pinion gears to obtain the desired engine RPM at highway speed.
